You won't want to miss this lesson that is sure to be a hit with your students. In the book, A Hairy Little Christmas, Santa is tired of his same old beard and has asked the elves to design him a new and improved beard. Students in your class will express their opinion by choosing one of the beards in the book or one they design on their own as their favorite. One of our kindergarten classes turned this lesson into a hands on art activity and then made a student book with all of the different Santa beards. IF you don't do Santa in your classroom, feel free to take this idea and make it your own with a snowman or other winter character!
