Descriptive Segments: Use Any Theme or Topic

Kylene Reed

IMG_5282Teaching students how to write a descriptive segment is key in both narrative and informational writing. What is great, is that you can use any theme or topic that you are learning about in your classroom to teach it! Here is a cute lesson we did earlier this month for Groundhog's Day! Listen to the second grade sample that he was so excited to share with everyone. I love that we are teaching kids to love to write at such an early age!
