Non-Fiction Text Features- Strategic Reading
Read Time 1 mins | May 14, 2021 | Written by: Kylene Reed
Whew! We have had a busy last couple of weeks of weather. It's tornado season here in the Texas Panhandle, and our 2nd-grade students are learning all about these powerful storms. They are using the lessons in their EW expository guide to glean information from real photographs, charts, graphs, and non-fiction passages. Then they created a book to showcase all they learned!
Every time our students are in front of text we want them to read like authors. In the informational grade level guides, lessons are designed to get your students strategically reading and responding to the text that they read.
Check these lessons out in the research section of your Empowering Writers Grade Level InformationalGuides!
