April 2022 Grades K-1 Lesson of the Month

This multi-modal lesson focuses on adding details in the informational genre. Students will be introduced to the detail generating questions, “What does it look like?” and “Why is it important?”. You’ll start with plenty of opportunities to build oral language using some mystery bags with items that students can hold and manipulate, and then move to written expression. Of course, for those students who need more time with oral language development, feel free to stay right there!
