6 Best Writing Lessons Ever

February 2021 Grades 5-8 Lesson of the Month

G5-8 LOM

The theme in this story is friendship. Students will listen to the read-aloud, Enemy Pie by Derek Munson, and think about how the author portrayed the theme. Then, in a series of steps, students will create a montage of “friendship” slides using images, song titles, and literature connections to showcase the theme.
