March 2022 Grades K-1 Lesson of the Month

Students in these grades will write a constructed response using a narrative text as the jumping off point. They will look for elements of sensory detail and then use that detail to write a response. Of course, there’s plenty of modeling and guided practice built in along with sentence starters for framing up the response.
