October 2021 Grades 2-4 Lesson of the Month

Your students will be responding to literature using our literary elements cards along with the classic tale by Janell Cannon, Stellaluna. As you read this delightful tale, students will identify the main character, the setting, the problem and solution along with the theme. Using sentence starters to frame up their responses, they will confidently write a literary analysis. The same lesson procedure can be used again and again with literature of your choice.
