The Best Part of Me

Kylene Reed

What a great lesson that my friend and coworker Mrs. Johnson did this last week in her 7th-grade class. She took a cute lesson that many of you might already do and made it even better by showcasing EW skills that her students use in their writing.

That's what is so great about Empowering Writers... you can use all of the skills with any assignment, so it fits all teaching styles.

Her students were writing about the best part of them and here is what she wanted them to include in their samples:

They turned out so great and what a neat way for students to feel good about themselves and express positivity! Here are a few of the finished samples.
